So what are they looking for in doctors anyways?
Preparing for your interviews can be a very daunting process. So, it may help to pause and take some time to think about what it means to be doctor. In 1996, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada published the CanMEDS Framework which outlined the core competencies expected of every physician. The framework specifies seven roles: Medical Expert, Communicator, Collaborator, Health Advocate, Manager, Scholar, and Professional. As a part of your interview preparation, it is suggested that you think about how you exemplify these competencies and examples that support your claims.
