Hey Guys,

So during one of my many rounds of procrastination leading up to our 2nd Foundations of Medical Practice exam, I was reading the Toronto Star website and came across an article about our National Anthem.  Featured in the article was a link to a video of a couple of the worst renditions of O Canada.

The first person really should have considered going through the lyrics before singing in front a crowd of people. She even tried to fake it too for a bit. Oy big mistake. And the 2nd person, his melody was not half bad, besides the fact that it was wrong. Fortunately he remembered more or less the words and finished okay. He sang it "loud and proud" as my former band teacher would say!

Well don't just take my word for it, check it out!

Hey Guys,

So it is final! I am officially in WB-F (Wightman-Berris Academy, rotation F)!

In the 2nd year class at UofT medicine, the whole academy/rotation schedule ranking process has come under heavy fire because MANY people got choices low on their ranking. More than one friend of mine got their 12th choice out of 18 choices, and I heard that one person in our class actually got their 16th choice!

So you might be asking, what happened?

So this week, the 2nd year medical students at UofT have a big decision to make.  We have to rank our clerkship rotation schedule preferences so that the UofT clerkship matching system can match us.  In case you are not familiar with the matching process, or the rotation schedules, let me break it down for you.

Hey Guys!

So this is my first of hopefully many more blog posts to come.  Let me start by introducing myself.  As my profile mentions, I am a 2nd year medical student at UofT and previously completed my undergrad at York University in Biomedical Sciences.  I have lived in Toronto my whole life, and I am glad to have gotten into UofT med because I am not sure how life would be if I had to leave my hometown for good.
